So I have given some honest thought to using roids for a couple of months, kind of a jump start to get my fat butt into shape. I vacillate between it being one of the stupidest things I have ever thought of doing, and being a way to not be a fat out of shape idiot for my 30s.

    Any advice?

      Are you being serious?

      Please do not do steroids.

Keep in mind that steroid users still have to put in all the time at the gym. You don't just grow muscles and lose fat in your sleep. So there really is no great benefit for the casual exerciser to use steroids. Also, I may be mistaken, but are steroids a weight loss alternative? In other words, if you are concerned about your weight, are steroids the answer, anyway?

Do it the healthy and safe way.....hit the gym, watch the diet, and slowly shed the pounds little by little.

A few kids I played football with in highschool used steroids, they said the main thing it does is that it allows you to work harder for longer. You dont get as much muscle fatigue. However you still have to put in just as much work.

If you are going to do it, why not go big with like HGH or the cream?

I like the way you think...go big or go home.

If you really think you need some help, I would try Nox and creatin first. For the two months I was stacking those, I was getting ripped with many of the advantages that people claim from steroids, but without the legal worry, back acne and testicle shrinkage. Eventually I realized that I wasn't as vain as I first thought, and that a little pudge on the pooch isn't so bad. And I have yet to meet a woman who is interested in the roid look.

As I said I go back and forth between thinking this is the worst idea that I have had in the last 10 years, and thinking it makes a lot of sense. Today it was really sounding like a great idea. I have hit this wall where I am not going anywhere, I am working out 4-5 days a week and hitting the Nutri-System without fail at least 6 days a week. I am starting to grow really depressed by this.

I realize of course that it isn't a wonder drug, but the idea of recovering faster and being able to push a little harder sounds great. I think the thing that will keep me from doing it in the end is that I would not want to give myself a shot, and everything I read about the pills is that they are basically death to your liver, and I may want to start drinking with landpoke and SU one day so I can't kill my liver.

I am not sure what gives you the impression that I am a mindless Utah County sheep. Had you bothered to read my posts you would have seen that my struggle with this is because I have not been able to run and not be weary following proper diet.

I was trying to give you an out.

                        Seriously, don't be an idiot.

A good rule of thumb is to never take anything he says seriously.

I don't know how you manage to do it, but you sure make apostasy lovable! Seriously, is there anyone more offensively charming than you? I guess it helps that LDS culture is so rich with comedic material.
