    Valium, can I get some?

    So ldc and I leave for Ethiopia in just about a week, I find myself getting a little tense by the prospect of the whole situation of the travel. How realistic is it to ask my doctor for some valium or similar drug to take the edge off a little?

      Not a big deal typically. Just tell him that flying sends you into a panic and they should give you a few at least for the flights.

          As I understand it this is sort of the point of Valium. My wife has received a prescription for some Valium in order to fly. Just a couple of pills if I recall.
          Worked out well (except for the prescription drug addiction and pill theft part.)

                If you are too embarrassed to ask your doc for some valium, you can always order a few stiff drinks before and during the flight. A few vodka drinks will do t for you. It is basically the same thing as valium, anyway...

                But seriously, congrats on the adoption. This is truly wonderful news!I wish you the very best. Do you know whether you are getting a boy or a girl? Age?
