  • Feeling it....

We have been to the gym for 8 straight days. This is the best I have ever started off in any journey of mine.

I hate lifting weights. Hated it in HS, hate it now.

Pain is fear leaving the body? Bullshit. Pain is pain. But I can get over it.

Yesterday was a quick 30 minute cardio day. I ripped through it pretty quick and wanted more.

Tonight was bike for 30 and weights. Bike was awesome. Weights weren't.

Having TW there with me makes it better.

Pain is weakness leaving the body. Not fear. Keep it up though man.

My problem with weightlifting has always been I've never done enough of it over enough time to make a difference. I had a spell in 9th grade where one of my best friends was really into fitness, and going to the gym with him for a few months is the closest I've ever come to effectively build strength (and that includes the spring I spent lifting with the football team and the offseason I spent training with the soccer team).

      Keep it up Tick.

I haven't lifted in about three weeks. For the last year and a half I've rarely missed even one workout. I've been so busy, but that's always an excuse. Right after posting about how I was going to make the MILF's at the Spanish Fork go gaga this summer, I go and fall off the wagon.

Keep it up Tick. It's painful but you'll start to love it I'm sure.

Dropped 8 lbs. last week. Busted my hump. DT and I walked our round of golf yesterday. Only thing that hurts today are the ankles. Because I am fat.

But how funny is that...I drop 8 lbs and I am disappointed...

Good for you Tick. I don't care about your weight. I do care about your heart though and I can't help but think this is going to lengthen your sojourn here on this planet.

            Congrats.

One month in and I am down 14 lbs.

I love when we go to the gym. I feel like I am on top of the world when I go.

Atta boy. I have started working on my weight too. If you weren't married, in about six months we could go out on chick patrol.

Way to go, brother, keep it up. I've found that invariably I feel better walking out of the gym than I did walking in, and I mean that in a good way. Higher endorphin levels, the nice feeling of having worked a variety of muscles, the illusion that I look a bit more ripped, etc. High fives to you.

I have thought of getting a gym membership. Have you ever found out the cuties want to work out around the older guys??

3.5lbs a week is pretty awesome. did you make significant diet changes as well, or did you already eat pretty well?

I've seen no evidence of this, but this is probably because Mrs. PAC accompanies me on most visits. Without her acting as a kind of No Pest Strip, I'm sure I'd be overwhelmed with young babes vying for my attentions. You really ought to give it a shot.

After I lose the 30lb pounds, I think I might. I will wear my gold jock strap. Maybe that will make them think I have money.

                            Not really.

I do find that when I work out I typically don't end up eating dinner. Not because I am not hungry but because of the time.

With TK2 having softball, and me being the coach, I just flat out don't have time sometimes. I get home from work at 5:15 and practice is at 6. I abhore being late, so we are there by 540-545. Practice is done at 730. Gym at 8. Home by 9-915. No time for dinner.

But I do find myself eating more for breakfast and lunch. Typically a Subway 6" for breakfast (ham and turkey on wheat) and whatever my wife sends me for lunch.

                            Digging it.

Nights that we have softball is easy to go. Nights when we don't it is a little bit harder.

Knowing that I will feel better after I go helps me get there.

Really the only hard part is getting my fat ass to the car.
