  • GolfNow Vegas edition......

I watched this last night on the Golf channel and they had some pretty sweet courses that they featured. Just curious if anyone has played them.

The Wynn- I doubt anyone here has played this but maybe. We tried to get on during the MWC tournament as a buddy knows the director of golf there. They allow zero comps. Nobody gets on without paying the $500 green fee. At least that is what we were told maybe we were not large enough whales.

Bali-Hai- Another high end course on the strip, runs between $180-250 per round. Looks pretty awesome though.

TPC Las Vegas- This was a little more reasonable about $119 for green fees.

Royal Links- this course looked awesome they recreated all of the famous holes from Links courses around the world. Green Fees were around $100 I believe.

Paiute- Three Pete Dye courses and for $119 you can play all day. Or for $89 you can play 18. This was about 30 miles north of Las Vegas they said.

Revere- two courses the Lexington and the Concord, designed by Billy Casper, I believe these were in the $80 range.

Also they went to some breakfast spot called Hash House A-go-go. Chicken and Waffles looked spectacular.

Revere cost me $155 last week. In my opinion the two courses out in Lake Las Vegas were the best I have played down there. Unfortunately they went out of business along with the rest of the area. Rumor has it one of them will come back online in the near future. As a point of reference they cost $265 a round when I played them. Had they survived I would imagine they would now be in the $200 range.

I heard a rumor that you had a craps roll where you made 13 points. Had I been there I would have gladly paid for us all to play. My pic in the Jimmer thread is from a guy that hit 5 points, and my bets were just starting to get good pressure.

Yep, I've been exploring ways to get on this course at a discounted rate for 5 years now, and no luck. Nobody plays unless they pay the $500. Even the employees don't get a discount, is the word on the street.

Looks better than it plays, IMO. It has some great views of the strip, but it feels a little cramped for my taste. Not worth it unless you get a locals deal.

TPC Las Vegas- This was a little more reasonable about $119 for green fees.
This is a great course. It and TPC Canyons are two of my favorite courses in LV, and if you know someone with a membership you can get on to either for around $60.

Royal Links- this course looked awesome they recreated all of the famous holes from Links courses around the world. Green Fees were around $100 I believe.
This course is a cool idea, and I'd like to play it. However, as cool as the course looks, the caddy program is even better: hot, scantily-clad chicks who supposedly know all about golf.

I've only played 2 of the 18s, but the Wolf course was just awesome. If you know someone who works there you can get on for $20 after 1pm in the summer.

Revere- two courses the Lexington and the Concord, designed by Billy Casper, I believe these were in the $80 range.
I've golfed Concord, which was just OK, IMO. Lexington looks a lot better, but is twice as much. I think these courses get down to $30 for locals in the summer.

This place is pretty good, but the chicken and waffles (their signature dish) is terrible. I got suckered in after seeing it on Man v. Food. It looks spectacular, but the chicken is dry and bland. I would recommend the turkey quesadilla or the eggs benedict. The entrees are huge--easily big enough to share with someone.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I'm surprised Coyote Springs didn't make their cut. Once I was sure Donut wasn't just driving me out into the desert to kill me. I thought it was a gorgeous course, it was cold and windy which must have been the reason I shot 116.

Yeah I had quite the run. Made DDDs father in law some good coin.

Thanks! You are the one I was hoping would weigh in.
