This guy deserves his own thread here (if there already is one, sorry--I searched). He's had a unique path, including serving a mission, graduating from BYU in 2003, getting an MBA from the University of Chicago in 2007, starting Braintree (also in 2007), which later acquired Venmo (2012) and then got acquired by PayPal (2013) for $800 million. According to wiki, he walked away with over $300 million. He left the Church some time around 2012.
Lately, his social media has been blowing up for his "Project Blueprint," which has a motto of "Don't Die" (Link), focused on prolonging his life. He claims to spend approx. $2 million per year on a health team that follows scientific research to improve his health as much as possible. He posts videos showing and talking about his extreme routines, including going to sleep at 8:30 pm every night, eating a vegan diet including something he calls "Nutty Pudding," taking 100 supplement pills per day, and eating his last meal of the day at 11 am. He's gotten plasma transfusions from his 17-year-old son Talmage (but he stopped the practice when he realized it wasn't effective). He exercises one hour per day, which is probably the most non-extreme part of his entire plan.
A few articles summarizing his efforts are here and here, the second one providing a good quote:
He is very exact in following his routines, and also in measuring their cumulative effects. He measures dozens of biomarkers related to age and posts all the results. Some of the information, like the number of erections per night, seems like TMI but I appreciate his scientific rigor and willingness to be a guinea pig and share his information. The numbers he posts seem impressive (including the erection of an 18-yr-old!):
Here's a recent example of treatments he's willing to undergo:
He's also concerned with looking younger and has been doing things like hair loss treatments, anti-greying, skincare, etc. He's gotten some flak because he doesn't really look much younger than his 46 years--his skin looks pale and waxy in his videos and a lot of comments joke about how he actually is a vampire and Project Blueprint is just a cover story for when he inevitably outlives everybody around him. I wonder if taking (among other things) finasteride isn't counter to his overall health goals.
He also has started selling supplements (and his special olive oil called "Snake Oil") which has made people question his motives. However, I doubt anybody in it for only the money would put himself through that lifestyle, especially given that he is already ultra-wealthy.
His YouTube channel has a bunch of videos about his different routines and testing results. It's been pretty interesting to delve in. I don't think I'll apply a lot of his advice--except he puts a high premium on sleep and I could really improve in that regard.

There are a lot of details to enjoy in the story of Bryan Johnson, the middle-aged almost-billionaire spending $2m (£1.6m) a year pursuing eternal youth. As described in the Times this week, Johnson has received “plasma infusions” from his 17-year-old son, had “33,537 images of his bowels” taken, and tried experimental treatments previously only tested on mice. But the one I like best, I think, revolves around his meal plan. As a man who made $800m (£646m) from the sale of his company to eBay, he enjoys a diet of “brown sludge” made of pureed vegetables – baby food, in other words. From the photos, these measures certainly seem to be working: the 45-year-old tech entrepreneur looks approximately 43.
