Garmin users I have a question

I'm trying to set an autolap at 3.1k. Under the custom setting I can get it to let me set it to 3.1 but it stays in miles and I am unable to change that. Anyone have an idea how to do this?

Maybe because it realizes that 3.1K is a sort of stupid lap distance.

Go to Settings, General, Units and change to metrics.
