It makes Park City, Sun Valley, Solitude and Pomerelle Mtn Resort look like poo.

*mind you those aren't too common since Targhee steals all the snow usually.
Sun Valley has the best mountain. No where else can you ski 3400 feet of vertical on a perfect slope without running into cat tracks or plateaus. If only they had Targhee snow.

PCMR loses it's lawsuit against Talisker. May not be in operation this winter. Perhaps Ian Cumming saw the writing on the wall and started looking for another ski property, taking ownership at Snowbird.

The reason I went with "kills" is because that Wyoming champagne powder is still head and shoulders above what Utah has, as amazing as it is. Teton Village is frequently covered sparsely, but still has that insane vertical to keep you gasping for air halfway through the tram run. When it gets dumped on, I say it's Heaven on Earth.

I like Brundage, but it is far enough away from Boise that it isn't a real good day trip destination. I understand Bogus sucks real bad. However, there is nothing that compares to Alta. Nada. Zilch. Nyet. Best place to ski on earth.

I saw a great bumper sticker this season, never saw one like it previously. It had the Alta snowflake logo in the center and around it in circular formation, the words ALTAHOLICS ANONYMOUS.

Count me as one of the addicted.

The snow was light and fluffy at Targhee today. Three to four inches of new stuff, just enough to float and not enough to make it work. The knee only lasted until one but that was enough, also it meant I could catch a little of afternoon GC.

Good day at Solitude. Snow conditions not as good as I thought they'd be given all the 'moisture' we've been receiving. Packed powder but a little icy in the morning due I'm sure to spring freeze/thaw. Softened up a bit by late morning. Still, gotta love those spring ticket prices!

Gotta love the 5th grade passport program, six times with my daughter this year. She's getting very good, we spent most the time skiing blues.

Solitude is reporting 6" over the last 24h. There will be more by tomorrow. I haven't been up this week yet but would anticipate somewhat heavier snow but certainly worth going.

The Targ got 4 inches yesterday, is planning on 6 more today and tonight and then a chance of 1-2 tomorrow. That makes for a great day, IMO, and even when it is unseasonably warm it still doesn't get much above the mid 30's at the voluptuous Grand Targhee. We haven't been up there this year and last year when we went it was really early season and bumpy/choppy. I want to see Targhee in all of its enhanced wonders and see it like those lecherous frenchies saw it back in the day.....however, my wife is going to the Women's Conference on Saturday and is planning to take our 3 daughters so I thought I would solicit advice/input from those of you along the Wasatch Front who ski. It was my assumption that the unseasonably warm weather has turned the slopes down there slushy. However, I am wondering if I am wrong in my assumption and/or this storm is improving the situation. I don't like sticky snow. However, my current plan forces me to have to drive all the way from Driggs to Eagle Mountain once we get done at the Targ at about 3:00 on Friday. Now dinner at Maddox's is always a pleasure, but if the Utah resorts have good snow I could forego my long drives and just head down to Eagle Mountain tonight and ski at Solitude tomorrow. So for those of you in the know about things what could I expect at Solitude tomorrow? Is it already sticky? Has this storm improved it? If you had your choice would you prefer to head to the tundra of the gorgeous Teton Valley or up lil Cottonwood canyon? Ftr, I really dislike sticky snow as it reminds me of my years engaged.
