    iTouch and Nike+

I know some folks on here use the Nike+ system. (Most of you rich folks have moved onto Garmin)

But my question is...does it work well for walking also? I am not at the running point yet, but walking is more enjoyable when I have a goal.

There is no reason why it shouldn't. You may have to calibrate the thing (which is very easy) but I know it has a walking calibration built into it.

I used it for running and walking and it seemed to work pretty well.

It works great for walking you just have to calibrate it for that. Very easy and you'll love it.

Do I have to buy nike shoes to use it, or can it attach to any shoes? I've been meaning to look into this since I finally joined the iPod club at Christmas.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Any shoes, so long as you have a $10 pouch or something to put the chip in (available at any good running store). I run with saucony and asics shoes and still use the chip.

You could stick it in a sandwich bag and tie it into your laces and it'll work fine. You can find 20 different models of pouches that hold it perfectly. Just get the cheapest one.
