    Ogden Marathon

I decided not to run the Ogden Marathon this year. Because it is sold out. Stupid Runner's World went and put it on their top ten list.

    Stupid Runner's World indeed!

Do you have any you're targeting as a replacement?

They must have thought that the additional obstacle of dodging bullets added to the thrill of running a marathon.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Layton is putting on a marathon this year. One of the guys at work is running in it.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I'm thinking of running in the Potato Marathon instead. It's the same day. RW would probably put it in their bottom ten, but the idea of sleeping in my own bed the night before and not having to travel home afterward sounds really appealing.

Should I get rid of it? It was my icon over at CB, so I was trying it out here.

Nah, it's cool. It just threw me for a second.

That's too bad. The Ogden marathon is gorgeous, except for that hill around halfway. I ran Ogden in 2004 and a freak rain/hailstorm sprang up (this was May) and drenched/pelted us for about 30 minutes. It made the rest of the run a little soggy and blistery, but the scenery made up for it.

The best part of the Ogden Marathon is that very little of it is actually in Ogden.

The Ogden marathon is very pretty. Unfortunately, there's a big-ass hill at about mile 15.

I am entered to run the Ogden Marathon. It will be my first and I'm really looking forward to it.

I've heard it was one of the more scenic to run, and was looking for something to keep me motivated through the winter - I started the training using Hal Higdon's novice schedule the middle of last month. It seems like the runs are pretty low key and too easy right now compared to how much I was running last fall - but I thought for the first time I should use something tried and true to make sure it is a good experience.

Any suggestions from those of you who have run this race in the past are more than welcome - sorry you won't be there, Sea Chicken. I haven't actually met any CUF'ers face to face and that might've been a first.

Just make sure you're with a large group in a public place when you meet PAC, and you'll be fine.
