...so I decided to have a physical since I recently gave blood and my cholesterol came back high. The doctor just called and said my cholesterol was indeed high (hello Zocor), but he was more concerned about another result. Turns out my TSH (not sure exactly what this is) came back at 140. I guess the normal is around 4?
In any case, looks like I have an underactive thyroid. Could this be the reason that I have trouble remembering things offhand? Seriously, my memory has been getting worse over the past year or two. He also said it causes fatigue, which I'm really not sure if I've experienced that since I've always been tired ever since I have kids.
Any doctors on the board have any advice?
I am going back for additional testing to confirm the initial results.
