Does anyone else give these to their children? You can buy them everywhere. We get ours from Costco (although this isn't really a Costco related question). They are delish...taste just like a regular gummy bear.
My question: are all these different vitamins fundamentally giving you the same supplemental nutrition? In other words, is it just as valid taking one of these gummy bear vitamins as the traditional, less-appealing vitamin pills?
I wonder whether these gummy vitamins are more akin to placebos, much like those delicious yet highly ineffective Luden's Wild Cherry "cough drops" from back when we were little kids. Those things were very tasty, but had the medicinal value of a roll of Lifesavers.
Is there a legitimate medicinal reason to take the more expensive vitamins over these alternative tasty treats?
