I don't know that I've ever heard of 3 people dying in the same race, that's crazy.

Many times people that pass away during marathons will fall ill before the halfway point.

I ran this marathon in 2004. Some of those neighborhoods were kind of dangerous, but not the race itself.

There's an underwater mile, but you're in a tunnel.

That's sad, but I think I want to check out while I'm running.

I just checked the stats. Chances of dying in a marathon are 1 in 50,000-75,000.

Chances of dying in a motorcycle wreck are 1 in 1,020.

Obviously my fears are not in line with statistics.
