Out of all the entries so far, PAC's is the best, though I would have gone with BigPiney but for the fact that the snake was in the garage.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

As I was putting my son to bed, I went to grab something off the floor and noticed the carpet was damp. Just in the corner of his (basement) room behind his bookshelf and extending along the wall a little bit. I also notice the baseboards have watermarks on them. It doesn't smell mildewy, but it's definitely damp. Because it's behind the bookshelf, I have no idea how long it's been there. We've had some really heavy afternoon rainshowers these last few weeks with flash flood warnings in the area, so maybe it's just from that, but the corner of the house where his room is is the one I've always been paranoid about having water issues--there's an outdoor faucet that leaks, the hot tub is there and sometimes gets standing water on the cover that spills when it's opened and it's the lowest point of our back yard. The landscaper put several drains in that area per my request, and acted like it was excessive.
Anyway...What do I do now? Is a little dampness not a big deal? Do I pull up the carpet?At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
