Shattered Microwave Door glass?

Has that happened to anyone? We were popping microwave popcorn and all of a sudden the glass on the inside of the door just started cracking. I don't know what we did wrong. We have popped that popcorn several times before and always follow the same directions.

I hope we don't have to replace the entire appliance! It is a microwave/convection oven.

So apparently there is metal in all microwave popcorn bags. And some put more metal than others in their bags. Good old Orville just cost us $300 for a new microwave door. Our kitchen has all Wolf appliances and those things are so needy on the maintenance--almost to the point of being a pain in the derriere.

I didn't mean it as a humblebrag, but a re-read of what I wrote has me a bit. . .

I meant it as an indictment of Wolf appliances. I have had nothing but trouble with the fridge and then this microwave door glass shatters even though we are using it properly.Too high maintenance for me. Probably why I will always have a Honda something instead of a BMW or Mercedes. I don't like high maintenance stuff.

Allow me to deflect some of the fire from you soccermom, by revealing that we too have all Wolf appliances in our kitchen. With the exception of our fridge, which is a Sub Zero. Our wolf stove has the griddle, as well, in case you were wondering.

Oh my goodness. I can't make myself clear. It would be be a humblebrag lie to say I could afford a BMW or Mercedes right now. I suppose a used one. . .. but not a brand new one. What I was trying to say is that even if/when the day comes that I could truly afford one of those cars, I would probably just stick with a Honda because I don't like high maintenance stuff.

Sub zero bought Wolf awhile back but their products are usually branded separately. Is your fridge co-branded? Our fridge is a sub zero.

On the fridge it just says Sub Zero. I guess I thought it was a Wolf Sub Zero for some reason but I don't see Wolf anywhere on there.
