Woke up this morning to a busted sprinkler pipe.....

  • Woke up this morning to a busted sprinkler pipe.....

    and water spewing all down my driveway.

    I guess I shut off the sprinklers but forgot to shut off the main irrigation line. It took me about 30 minutes to get a shovel and dig through the snow to the box where the irrigation shut off is.

    Yikes!

              as i type this, i am watching a landscaping crew install a new sprinkling system at my parents' house. because the house is located above the nearest runoff reservoir, pressure has always been a huge issue. they are putting in a pretty hefty pump and have divided the system up into 15 cycles. better them than me.

                this makes me glad that I don't live in a desert where sprinkling systems are necessary. It also makes me glad I don't have a large yard.
