    Ward email list spamming

Has this gotten bad enough in any of your wards that the Bishop has had to patrol things?

I think my ward might be to that point. We've had a few spam type emails hit the ward email list over the past year. This week we had a piss on Republicans who stopped the schools from airing Obama's speech email followed by a piss on Democrats email response.

Ward email list spam is definitely entertaining.

The bishop should just threaten to excommunicate the next person that abuses the ward email list. He should do that with spaghetti western music playing on the organ behind him.
Everything in life is an approximation.

It's never happened in my ward, but as I've said many times, I might just live in the best ward in the church.

My coworker had a Nigerian scam from his.

Someone claiming to be the bishop (gave the bishops name) stuck in the UK and needed money wired to him.

What do you do when it is your bishop who is the guilty party? We got some great emails mocking Obama around election time. We were even advised to prayerfully consider voting a certain way.

Reading some of the comments on this board, I think my ward is like yours. Although, in reading some of those same comments, sometimes I think my ward is one of the worst in the church. I deserve to be entertained by my ward too!

I think that is when you ask him to type up the letter he got from the first presidency about elections and the official LDS stance on the matter that was to be read over the pulpit as a refresher for yourself and "other" ward members.

Very likely possibility. Hubby was laid off almost 6 months ago. Looking. Looking. No great luck. I hope if we do move it is because we found a job though, and not because we arrived at our worst case scenario.

                      That sucks.

I really hope that moving is on your terms and not anyone elses.

I don't know what I would do if I had leaders like you, but it would be very frustrating.

Don't most e-mail accounts have a spam blocker?

That's why I never fill out the "email" box whenever they pass any signup around.
                          Not that, sickos.

Pretty good advice in retrospect.......don't you think?
