    sherry dew book

a few years ago my MIL gave my wife the sherry dew book for christmas.
she went up to take a dump and took the book with her.
as she went up, i observed aloud:

"Taking a poo with Sherry Dew?"

    i received an crusty.
    I intend to live forever.
    So far, so good.

When Deseret Book announced that it would quit carrying titles that weren't consistent with LDS teachings, I wrote her a letter expressing my concern that they wouldn't be carrying books that contain murders (Hamlet) or adultery (Iliad). She wrote me back a very nice letter explaining that it was a business move only, since the only way they can compete with the big stores is to cater to the LDS audience, and that of course "the classics" of western literature would continue to be available. There was no intention of moralizing, just maximizing business.

It was a real stand-up thing to do. I've always kind of liked her since that.

I believe fair Sister Dew spells her first name with an i (it is probably single to the glory of God.)

            But "i" sometimes denotes plurality.
