I'm visiting my folks in SLC this week. My dad is the Branch President at the VA hospital, so we went to church up there. 45 minute sacrament meeting, 30 minutes each for Sunday School and RS/Priesthood. It's more wonderful than I imagined!

There is a massive YSA regional conference next Sunday at our stake center. All the ward in the stake will be converging on our smaller building for meetings. Since there are so many wards and a branch, next week everyone in the stake will have sacrament and then go home.
One hour Church!
This will be just like being Catholic, except next week isn't Easter or Christmas.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

My sister-in-laws's friends's sister is supposedly in a stake in Draper that is "piloting" a 2 hour block. My first thought was they eliminated sunday school, but the 4th person word is that they cut back sacrament meeting. I would imagine the 30-30-45 model DU Ute talked about would be best.
Anyone have anyknowledge of this "pilot" in Draper that is better than 4th hand?Comment

People would attend more regularly and pay more tithing if Church were just 1 hour. Heck, I'd pay 15% tithing in exchange for two extra hours each Sunday.
