Exactly - there's not good way to spin this.

While I'm here... we had a non-member come into our clerk/bishop area today and raise a big fuss about people coming to recruit his wife back into activity. Say's people keep stopping by and trying to bring her back into the fold. She doesn't want to come back and asked us to leave her the hell alone. 1st Counselor is new and a bit of a bulldog - told him we don't know who he is - and if she wants to quit the church she's going to have to come in herself and talk to the Bishop... and then said... "that makes sense doesn't it?" We can't tell if you're an abuser or not... it has to come from your wife herself.

    Guy got madder and madder.

It will be immediately apparent when they give the investigator a Book of Mormon. I don't think there's going to be any major disconnect there.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Ha. Thats nothing. On my mission we were part of a trial program to focus on orthodox jews. We learned a bunch of door approaches that carefully omitted any reference whatsoever to Christ or Christianity. On the odd occasion when we were invited in, we were invariably ushered out, sometimes quite abruptly while being called things like "jew killers" or "Nazis", when they realized we were Christians. I always felt sort of dirty using those door approaches.
        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

It seems like a mistake to me. At best, an idea with little chance of success. But Pres Nelson has hit so many home runs already that I am willing to grant him a pass on this one.
