    Abandoned LDS Couches

With so many people walking in and out of LDS churches every week, some of them using the couches as a respite from Sacrament meeting or Sunday School, I wonder whatever becomes of the couches that are too worn to be used anymore?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Get out of here. That is no LDS couch, that much I know. There's no texture to the thing!

      You don't know that...

I for one have never seen a couch replaced in any LDS meetinghouse. The couches in my current building have been there for over 10 years and they didn't look good 10 years ago. The couches in my parents chapel (where I grew up) are still the same ones they had 20 years ago, floral print and all.

And what's more, the couch in the main post is white! Can you imagine an LDS ward with a white couch? The thought makes reason stare.

The reason for that is inspired. If the couches were new and comfortable members would be fighting for the couch instead of a bench seat in the chapel.

Maybe it's from a celestial room

I haven't sat on a church couch in a long, long time. Not only are they uncomfortable, they also smell really bad. I wonder how often they get cleaned. My guess is, never.

One summer several dudes in my ward were Bachelors with their families making their annual sojourn to Utah. We thought it would be funny if we wall pulled the couch in from the hallway and put it in the back of the foyer and sat on it as the "bachelor couch". Never pulled the trigger though. Regrets, I have a few.

Ah, the DC summer bachelors. Nothing says I Love You, like a one way ticket to Salt Lake the second the kids are out of school.

"Temple Couches, clean or stinky like the Foyer Couches?" The topics are endless.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
