Good they should be. I'm not going to minimize the issue because I'm a fan of the sports teams. I'm happy that Utah is being investigated.

What is sad from that article is that 200 schools are being investigated. I said it before, this isn't a problem unique to any school it is a societal problem.

Over 3 months after these shameful stories came out and nothing has changed. No measures put in in place while your precious committee studies it.

Utah is being investigated for Title IX noncompliance, I read the story. Utah botched an investigation and it should be addressed.

I've said since the beginning this is a problem on every campus, byu is not immune and they should absolutely be investigating Madi Barneys Title IX complaint.

BYU obviously has its own issues but it sounds like Utah took no action regarding a reported rape for about a year, allowing the rapist to continue to attend school alongside his victim and graduate with no consequences, no action taken until after the rapist had graduated and the action by the school no longer mattered.

Certainly BYU is way out of line in investigating rape victims for Honor Code violations but I guarantee BYU doesn't ignore reports of rape and take no action for many many months. If BYU has a problem it would be overzealousness in kicking kids out.

Byu has handled sexual assault reporting awfully. So has Utah. So has pretty much every college in the country.

Your response to this issue is perfectly representative of the whole social justice warrior social media phenomenon/mentality and is one of the reasons I hate it. Pick a topic (some legit, some not) and try to outdo your fellow warriors in expressing outrage and demanding the most extreme, immediate reaction. Suspected racism on Mizzou campus? Fire the president, suspend free speech, shout down any dissenting views, and put students in control of the administration. Problems with the honor code at BYU? Immediately eliminate the entire system. Don’t study it. Don’t get feedback and input. Don’t try to build a consensus for a decision or change. Burn it down right now. Anything less and you are “sniping” and “indefensible” and presumably a rape enabler.

And you still think BYU should "absolutely be investigated" for the same thing Utah and 200 other schools are being investigated for? On what grounds? Do you have evidence of BYU waited too long to investigate sexual assault?

I'm guessing you don't. And if that's the case, you have to admit your comment that BYU should "absolutely" be investigated is just "partisanship."
