          lol indeed. I thought it was because BYU is a teaching/educational university and not a "research" school. Also BYU has icky religious beliefs but we can't use THAT as an excuse.

Not so much that they will behave differently in non-approved housing, but rather that it is a game-changer in the housing market. Landlords of BYU-approved housing have enjoyed a limited/controlled market so they could get away with murder. Not anymore.

                                Murder was a step too far. That's why Off Campus Housing is changing the rules.
