Would it be too soon to make the following comment to Dehlin:

"Boy, he sure has some terrible lawyers..."
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I do wonder if they will call three lily white Mormons from the inter mountain west....maybe they'll even be lawyers or from CES.
It will definitely be interesting. Talk about having the opportunity to transform the 12 over night. What do the experts on Reddit who talk to President Monson say?

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Do none of you find it suspicious that within months of his rumored defection, elder Scott turns up dead?

On bio at Lds.org it mentions Dick adopting four kids after losing two of his. So how many of his kids are biological. He used to always come to the MTC in a Santa Claus suit around Christmas too.

the question is, why don't you?

Yes, I also find it suspicious reporters are saying today is the nicest day in Washington D. C. they have ever seen. Beautiful blue skies, great temperature, slight breeze. I find it suspicious this happens on the day the Pope visits.

                  He'll be missed....
I know some LDS people who lived through abuse. To them, having an apostle speak on the matter was incredibly validating and comforting, death-stare notwithstanding.

It is also gorgeous in AZ. The temp is just right for the first time in months. Coincidence???

And of course Elder Scott was a great guy. You do realize that an apostle's job is to call the world to repentance and give talks that many if not most consider to be uncomfortable listening, right?

Yea, but is it the best day you have ever experienced in AZ. That's how one guy, Shepard Smith, described the weather in DC. The best day he has ever experienced in DC.

No. I wonder what else is going on in Shepard's life...

To be fair to Shep, it is a really nice day.

First time since 1906 that they have had to replace 3 Apostles at the same time.

April 1906 - Newly called Apostles: George F Richards, Orson F. Whitney, and David O. McKay
