Because for some reason that you have yet to explain, you dislike me.

That clouds your judgment. I've had leadership before. Even on a tiny level, it sucks. I love my teaching calling because it means I spend an hour or so preparing and then an hour teaching every week, not 40 hours spent counseling with members and who knows how many meetings per week?

I teach the 14-15 year olds in Sunday School. Forgive for not laboring over my lesson plans, but I don't really want to go all that in-depth about the Word of Wisdom with them. Maybe I should?

At the risk of sounding petty but you asked. It started when you called me a pedophile for saying I wouldn't be watching any more of Wimbledon because Maria Sharapova got beat early. That's a pretty big leap to be implying I have sex with kids. We worked through that through some board mails and knowing that you didn't have a job and your wife was pregnant I invited you out to lunch to bury the hatchet and give you some leads on some jobs. You didn't show because he said you were unaware that Criagos had moved which they had. I was okay with that so I invited you again and once again you did not show. My judgment of you is not very cloudy. Listen to 71 he may be able to help you.

That makes sense, the manual was written with your class in mind. If all you do is follow the manual (and there's nothing terribly wrong with that, particularly at that age group) then an hour prep would be sufficient. Although I do support an open policy where any and all questions are valid. But that doesn't mean you have to know the answers beforehand.

I appreciate teachers who put a great deal of effort into their lessons. I was lucky enough, my opinion, to never have had a position teaching the youth.

The classes I taught were adult classes, primarily priesthood. I was able to prepare in an hour. Of course my method was to have the manual stuff downpat, but I would let the lesson go where it would with the class and more or less lead a discussion where interest lead.

I remember I used to get rave reviews from Elders in the Elders Quroum where I was the instructor. However, as I look back on it, maybe the praises came because my brother was the EQ President and those that patted me on the back thought maybe they could avoid the "move a member" assignments by gaining my favor.
