  • Does anyone really believe in the Three Nephites anymore?

It just doesn't make any sense. If they were around, you would think they would've had at least some role in the restoration of the church. Plus, they clearly were priesthood authorities - why would the priesthood have to be restored by angels, when there are three living apostles?
If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Cut them some slack. I have it on good authority that they've been busy hitch-hiking and warning people to get their food storage.

Anybody who hitchhikes in this day and age gets respect from me. That shit's dangerous.

Isn't this kind of like asking if anyone believes in Bigfoot? People who want to believe will.

A lady in Sarasota Florida her Son was in the San Diego Vietnamese speaking mission and had a hard time learning Vietnamese. At a mall three men in suits said someone was needing Vietnamese tapes and they did not have them at the store until they showed up. One time I had an important speaking assignment at a Stake Conference and the engine blew out of my car I had no way of making it on time then three men came by, put it back in place. Went to mechanic next day and were amazed at how it was fixed so fast.

The Sarasota experience was told by a Lady in our ward that had many faith promoting stories to share, 2nd story I never spoke in a Stake Conference. There are many stories like that. Thing is I once read something by James E Talmage that said they are the most overworked people in the church based on stories. Where is afl cio.

I do remember reading where someone claims to have been visited by them and he called Prophet to repentance. I told that story on this site, Daniel Seppings was his name, He never read D and C, They are to minister to people not administer that is why they did not restore any keys, And we will not know that they are here anyway, since they will not be known, that is why three nephrite stories are questionable at best.

No, I don't believe in them. I know a lot of people that do though.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Why are they always in a threesome? Couldn't they be more effective if they were to split up?

I thought they were plastering someone's field back in the day? Seems like that was helpful for the restoration!

A good question I have thought about before without any real answer. The Godhead is a threesome. The Church Presidency is a threesome. A Bishopric and Stake Presidency are threesome's. There were the three witnesses.
Some people believe trouble comes in groupings of 3. Babe Ruth wore the number 3.

Everything is established by two or three witnesses. If they split up, no one would believe the one guy who said, "I'm one of the three Nephites. No, really."
                              Not that, sickos.
