One of the most well known scriptures in the Doctrine and Covenants D&C 121: 37 seems to have a pretty big error in it's language. The definition of amen is -used to express solemn ratification (as of an expression of faith) or hearty approval.
So is God trying to say that "... when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn," we express agreement or approval "to the priesthood or the authority of that man."
I think I might need to rethink how I magnify my priesthood from now on.

I laughed out loud on that one. Heaven forbid someone have a life outside of an internet message board.
