AA, I'm confused. Are you saying that:

Adam gathered his children together and gave them a blessing at a place called Adam-ondi-Ahman (AOA1).
Adam will come visit his people in the future at a place called Adam-ondi-Ahman (AOA2).
AOA2 is identified by Joseph Smith as Spring hill, Missouri.
AOA1 is not identified as the same as AOA2 by Joseph Smith, except for some questionable second hand accounts.
And from this all, you believe it's likely that AOA1 and AOA2 are not the same (in essence the two Hill Cumorah theory)?

I think it is possible. At the very least, it is problematic to say that Joseph taught that the garden was in Jackson County.

when adam and eve were expelled from the garden, why would that have to mean that they were expelled to the immediate geographic area? as a practical matter, i don't find it troubling that the garden could be in missouri but when eve partook they were expelled to the horn of africa. i'm far from an apologist, but i just don't think it's an issue worth worrying about.

Not really. Considering the gender breakdown of IT Workers it was a reasonable assumption.

Depending on your definition of significant of course.

Yes, I am telling you that the garden was in Texas. There is no way that Adam and Eve walked all the way from Africa or the middle east to Missouri.

The bible says the garden of eden was where the four rivers come together. The Trinity, Brazos, Colorado, and Rio Grande come together in the Gulf of Mexico. So I figure it is somewhere on the coast of Texas. Maybe even Houston.

In fact, at no point does the Colorado run through a state that even touches Texas.
