Love this quote from the article:
Wait a minute...I thought the gospel was already restored all the way. Does this mean there could be more coming?"This is yet another important step forward in the restoration of the gospel," said Sheri Dew
Of course, we have to take into account that Sheri isn't a prophet, seer, or revelator. So that could be just, like, her opinion, man.

Maybe she meant to say "the full" restoration...................Originally posted by Eddie View PostLove this quote from the article:

This historic change is just the general leadership councils, right? Or does it affect the local PECs as well?"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Any local PEC I have served on has had at least the RS President attending for 10 years. Would be good to make it official policy.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThis historic change is just the general leadership councils, right? Or does it affect the local PECs as well?

I think she means that this step restores things back to how it went down in the primitive church, when all-female leadership councils helped the men run things.Originally posted by Eddie View PostLove this quote from the article:

Good post. I think it was Emma that had the revelation for the WOW.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI think she means that this step restores things back to how it went down in the primitive church, when all-female leadership councils helped the men run things.Last edited by byu71; 08-19-2015, 08:55 AM.

Just listening to the recap on KSL radio. Sheesh. Sherrie Drew should shut her yapper at times like this. She does more damage than good."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

This change doesn't sound like much, but I'm hopeful there will be more in the future.
Those that say Kate Kelly doesn't do any good are wrong. I judge women on their sexual attractiveness, not their message, so I am not a big Kate Kelly fan. But you have to admit she's had some influence.
The church moves the right direction on social issues. Unfortunately, it moves very slowly and sometimes only when forced to legally or financially or when the negative ramifications of their backwards practices become so painful they're essentially forced. Unfortunately the church needs the Kate Kelly's and John Dehlin's of the world. With them, other good but chickenshit progressive leaders can step up and encourage change, and be considered moderate voices. Without the boogeymen like Kelly and Delhin, the good but chickenshit guys can't even open their mouth or they become the boogeymen.
