It's kaput. And this conference is the official turn in that direction.
Was this announced? I won't believe it unless it was made official. I'm unable to tune into the second session as I'm on my way to Salt Lake.

You are ever so kind; without your abuse however would I keep my self-esteem where it is.

I'll know tomorrow morning when I tee off around 10:30 at Thanksgiving Point. Doubt it, though.

Everyone here thinks you're joking, but I know you aren't. I agree with what you're saying. Mormonism is already too small to survive this. I just hope BYU somehow lives on.

I believe Mormonism will survive this issue just fine, but not in the US.

It will become a church of non-Americans & non-Europeans, much like Catholicism is much stronger today in South America & Africa than in its traditional European setting.

50 years from now, BYU men's soccer is going to tear up the WCC.

                  • Well BYU would have to join the WCC to so that. I believe it will survive but it will not thrive in the US. it is too counter cultural and slow to respond to new cultural developments.

I have no doubt that it will survive, but it will become different. The Book of Mormon will eventually be de-emphasized. So will Joseph Smith and the First Vision. We'll always have prophets and apostles, but we'll use the word revelation less and the word inspiration more.

It's too bad that for the timeframe you and Sooner are predicting, your body will be dust and your consciousness obliterated so there is no opportunity for a "swish!". Sooner could be around to tell us I told you so, if his brain hasn't deteriorated too much.

                            • Sorry SU, Sooner and So long but the only way Mormonism will die is when the great Jehovah shall say "the work is done." I'm a bit unclear as to what happens after that but when I find out I'll drop by the middle TK and fill you all in.

Pretty sure no one here thinks SU is joking. Of course he (and you) believe that.
