They're chucking the suit coat? That's hardly new.

The only time I (and the other ~150 elders in MY mission) ever wore suits were to church on Sundays and to zone conferences. But I'm now apostate.

It's just a matter of time before they suck the general membership into online proselyting callings.

Never wore a suit once after I left the MTC. That was over 20 years ago.

In my missions, Dockers and short-sleeve white shirts were the order of the day.

I didn't know that the suit jacket was a rule. I used to go sans-jacket under my winter coat all the time. Turns out I was just ahead of my time I guess.

If you had lived the higher law on you mission by wearing your suit coat all the time, you would probably be a Mission President by now instead of a heathen apostate.

That's how my mission was. We got a mission president who told us we were all going to hell if we didn't start wearing out suits. I had a couple months left so I just wore what I wanted.

Pshaw... Look at all you hipster missionaries too cool to wear a suit.

Hip, or just smart enough to not wear waaaaaay-overdue-for-a-drycleaning cheap, cheap suits everyday in public. (So gross to think about now).

Yeah, back in your day, you all had to wear suits AND bowler hats, right?

So let me get this straight:

                          No suit jackets,
                          ipads for all,
                          facebook proselytizing,
                          skype calls home,
                          cell phones,

Next thing they will be letting kids' moms go on their missions with them. Missionaries nowadays are total pussies. I predict higher apostasy rates as a result all of this.

CORRECTION: I was not too cool for a suit. I was simply ignorant of what I was supposed to be doing. BIG DIFFERENCE!!

Outside of the MTC, I wore a suit exactly twice: on the plane ride there, and on the plane ride home. Other than that, nothing but shortsleeves.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.
