BTW, I just got a template, so I'm good."I'm going to go back to CUF now, where the censorship is less, the average IQ is higher, and we don't have to deal with so much of this nonsense. Goodbye." - SoonerCoug

Ok, that makes sense. I'm glad HFN could help you out on this one. Let us know how that works out for you.Originally posted by The Fourth Nephite View PostWe invite all our non-member friends and neighbors to church and dazzle them with a special sacrament meeting.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

We just returned from our church building where an ecumenical blood drive is underway. The Red Cross staffers are being assisted by at least a half dozen sister missionaries, all but one of whom I've learned decided to go on a mission during the October announcement. While I was lying there bleeding out, I thought more about how great if would be if the Church continued the evolution of the missionary program by announcing that all 18 year-olds, male and female, are called to serve their church and/or nation for a period of at least eighteen months. Worthy candidates can select from military, charitable or proselyting options, including possible combinations thereof, but every young adult in the Church will be expected to donate not less than 18 months. Wards will be expected to cover the economic cost for those who are otherwise financially unable to render such service. I was working on the details, but a combination of blood loss and sugar buzz from the orange juice and cookies interrupted my thought process.

Hmmm. I'll defer to the prophet on that one. Nice thoughts though.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostWe just returned from our church building where an ecumenical blood drive is underway. I'm pretty sure my son's serving in your mission (SJ). His last letter he told us that he was reassigned from being the District Leader in his area to being the Relief Society President. His district is comprised of him, his companion, and 8 sisters missionaries.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostWe just returned from our church building where an ecumenical blood drive is underway. The open bar was meager, offering only water and OJ. The cookie selection was nice, however, as one would expect.Originally posted by statman View PostAt Red Cross blood drives in LDS meetinghouses, do they only give water?
