Help me out here. What are the "porn-y" traits in her appearance?

The makeup, for sure, but also the unnaturally large breasts (whether real (unlikely) or not) and the unnaturally large lips (again, likely enhanced).

Just a very unnatural look to many of them, from the makeup to actual facial features. I'm sure they look different away from this setting, but last night a lot of them looked like they could walk right into the Adult Film Awards or whatever it's called (the Oscar's of porn!) and not look terribly out of place.

In fairness, it was a really stupid question. "what does it say about society?" She obviously would have been better served even if she just said "it says society is sexist." Maybe she didn't really hear the question over the sound of her heartbeat under the hot lights and in front of the cameras on the stage on national tv.

Me neither. She either was too distracted to understand the question or just not great at questions in general (some may say she's dumb, but that's not always the case w oral exams of sorts). How disingenuous do you have to be to propose that Mormon women don't know what sexism is?

I can understand how someone would want to be tactful about mentioning discrimination, but I don't think this was a matter of her trying to be tactful.

Think of all the Mormon women you know. How many Mormon women think they are discriminated against? Very few.

That makes this an especially difficult question for a Mormon woman to answer. The answer should have been obvious, but it wasn't to her.

I think I can tell what she was thinking but had a hard time expressing:

"Women earn less because they have less education because they are usually trying to be stay-at-home moms rather than work. But it would help if women were better educated so they could make more money if they end up needing to work."

But that isn't really the issue. The more obvious issue is discrimination, which I'm sure she never even considered for a second. Mormons are very slow to allege discrimination unless it's anti-white or anti-Mormon discrimination.

Maybe, but I doubt it. If she was thinking anything, it appears it was more along the lines of "Huh? What is she talking about? Crud, I prepared answers for government listening to our tweets and education is a good thing. Better go with education."
