did anyone else take the church survey yesterday?

We were told that a certain percentage of wars/branches were going to get it and that we were the only ward in our stake to take it. It was completely anonymous - wanted age and gender info. Asked about how you get your church information (magazine, LDS.org, local news, etc). How often you attend church, pray, study scriptures,(as individuals and as a family), go to LDS.org & ward and stake sites, eat together as a family, work (for money) (both self and spouse), how you viewed your individual contribution to a number of household activities - cleaning, cooking, paying bills, yardwork, etc (I do all, I do most, equal, spouse does most, spouse does all). They also included a split out of whether you had particular leadership roles in the ward (bishopric, YM/YW presidency, rs presidency, Eqp, hpg, primary presidency were the groups, I think). All in all, it looked fairly innocuous, but would also lead to some interesting discussion about the role the church plays in people's lives and how the church would like to communicate with us in the future. From the number of questions on how much people used the internet for reading the ensign articles, preparing lessons, etc, you have to get them feeling that they might be questioning the need of printing stuff that the vast majority of churchgoers are accessing in digital format.

Just wondering how many others got the survey...

That was me. I filled out two surveys. One was just a general membership survey and the other was specific to my calling. They seemed innocuous, but no reasoning was given for having them filled out.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
