I've got Bette Midler in my mind thinking about you two while I sit in a non-testistory sacrament.

        1. 7 minutes
        2. 9
        3. 40 minutes exactly (we went overtime)

We had a total of twelve testimonies, equally divided between men and women. One 17 year-old, the rest were all adults. No kids.

I would like a report from F&T for the following items

              1. Time from after the opening testimony of the bishopric to when the 3rd testimony is complete
              2. The number of testimonies given after the 3rd
              3. Total time alotted for testimonies at your meeting(from after the bish testimony to their closing statement)

I cannot reveal the reason for this as it may skew reporting.

Thank you for your help with this data collecting adventure.

Also exclude any child who appears to be less than the age of 12
              1. 5 minutes
              2. 11 (3 kids not counted in this)
              3. 32 minutes. I think we usually have more than this, but we had a bunch of announcements today, plus a baby blessing.

Exact words from a 78 year old dear lady.

"I tried to start the rototiller to work my garden area, but I couldn't get it to start. I knelt down and said a prayer asking Heavenly Father to help me start the rototiller. When it still wouldn't start I thought I needed the power of the priesthood, and I asked my husband to say a prayer for the rototiller. Well, you know what happened, it started right up."

Well, you know what happened. There was a firestorm of mad women after the meeting.

                  15 minutes
                  10
                  35, but went to 40.

We did have two very long periods when no one got up, and then at 5 after 3 people made a charge to be the last.

Bump for today. I will post the data this evening
"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."

"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."

                      It's Fast Sunday?!?

Glad I checked CS after eating two Costco muffins and a big glass of OJ. It snuck up on me after having it 2 weeks ago.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Dang, I forgot about this thread. I could have collected the data.

I'm big on collecting data in FT meeting. I keep track of all the testimony bearers each month. I don't know why I do this, just some compulsive weirdness I have.

So far there have been 5 FT meetings this year and we only have one person with a three-peat (screw you Pat Riley) but she's just a kid. There are several of the usual suspects vying for the three-peat (again, screw you Pat Riley) so next month should be interesting to see who gets there first although they should all be ashamed of themselves that they let a kid beat them to the punch.
