Please help a brother out. What do I need to know in order to properly survive the North Dallas-type Mormons?

I loved the Triangle when I lived there. Easy life, golf, universities, RTP, D.C., beach, loved it all.

I also have family in the Plano area. I love them to death, but some of the racist things my sister says when she visits....holy cow! I am not sure if it's part of the Plano Ward curriculum or just required for access to the tollway, but some of those comments might make Rush Limbaugh blush.

Last I remember, Plano has 8 wards and some parts of Plano are fairly diverse. Personally, I've encountered very little racism here and none of it in a LDS setting. Divirsity is one of the things I've been pleased about with raising my own kids in North Texas. My own parents were somewhat "racist" growing up in Utah and I discovered that I harbored some of that growing up in the rust belt and later on in an all-white public high school. At least a third of my kids' elementary school and neighborhood have been ethnic minorities. So I I've seen little of the racist elements with them that I saw in my generation and my parent's generation.
