Wear Pants to Church Day

Apparently it was this past weekend. Did anyone notice or participate? Moreover, how many people were harshly judged by those nasty TBMs?"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I participated by wearing a purple tie. No other men wore purple and I saw no women wearing pants. All men were wearing pants except the Samoan guy that was wearing one of those knee length skirt things but I doubt he was protesting his right to wear skirts in church."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Seems like this one was poorly advertised and executed. Perhaps it was intended to be a big secret this year or something. I think that those involved that think that pants or purple or lack thereof indicates in anyway the pulse of their ward are fooling themselves just a bit.Originally posted by OhioBlue View PostI was in purple shirt and purple tie. I skipped so I could sleep in. We have church at 1 pm.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostI showed my solidarity by skipping church to watch my daughter sing in her school's Christmas concert."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

A sister in our ward sported purple pants today."You interns are like swallows. You shit all over my patients for six weeks and then fly off."
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. It's my fault for overestimating your competence."
