Very effective advertising

As an adoptee myself (who somehow wasn't included in the ad, despite my membership of fullofitcoug's anointed top 1% of Americans), I like it. I'm not sure it makes a case for banning abortions (which I'm guessing is its aim), but it makes a good one for encouraging adoption.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostThis is from CatholicVote.org. My guess is that the ad's goal is to encourage "the adoption option." More productive (and realistic) than trying to ban abortion, in my view.Originally posted by ERCougar View PostAs an adoptee myself (who somehow wasn't included in the ad, despite my membership of fullofitcoug's anointed top 1% of Americans), I like it. The folks that make those Mormon TV spots should take note."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

If she ever asks how your parents could ever love someone to whom they weren't related as much as they love their biological kids, just remind her that your parents aren't related and they love each other.Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostThanks for the link. Just sent it to my little sister who is 18, adopted, and really struggling with not being wanted by her birth parents.

Good call. "Don't you worry, honey. My love for you is as strong and real as the bonds that hold approximately 49% of marriages together."Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostIf she ever asks how your parents could ever love someone to whom they weren't related as much as they love their biological kids, just remind her that your parents aren't related and they love each other.

Awesome ad. Facilitating and promoting the decision to give a baby up for adoption instead of having an abortion is a worthy cause.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostThis is from CatholicVote.org. I wish we lived in a world where no woman would ever feel that she should have an abortion.
Our Church says that abortion is an acceptable decision in certain rare cases. First trimester abortion should remain legal. I think that should be obvious even to devout Church members if they are willing to think about this issue a little bit.
