The stake president just asked my wife to bear her testimony last week. What's going to happen?

Just don't be the perv Bishop whose #1 objective seems to be ferreting out the masturbatory habits of the youth.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostWould I be out of line calling the SP and asking if it was me?Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Major upset in our ward Sunday. The new bishop is a non-RM who graduated from BSU and teaches high school history. From a ward with 30 to 40 BYU-I professors in the ward this was a major shocker. For what it's worth this a good guy that will do a very good job.

I think you just coined a new phrase: "the upset calling."Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostMajor upset in our ward Sunday. Good luck with your Cinderella Bishop."More crazy people to Provo go than to any other town in the state."

This is more shocking to me than having a black man elected President of the U.S.. Next thing you know women will get the Priesthood.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostMajor upset in our ward Sunday. He married his high school sweetheart right out of high school. We grew up in the same ward and I can't remember anybody else in that ward not going on a mission. In fact the kid whose Dad owned the bar up at Island Park even went.Originally posted by byu71 View PostWhat might be as shocking is by definition there has to be a woman in Rexburg who didn't hold out for a RM to marry. What is the Bishop's wife like. She must have not been very active as a youngster.
