We are getting a new bishop Sunday

Would I be out of line calling the SP and asking if it was me?

It's Thursday. You already know the answer, but that would be funny.

I was thinking after he told me no I could really press him on why it wasn't me.

The stake president just asked my wife to bear her testimony last week. What's going to happen?

It would be a nice touch if you were to ask, "Is it I?" instead.

Just don't be the perv Bishop whose #1 objective seems to be ferreting out the masturbatory habits of the youth.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Major upset in our ward Sunday. The new bishop is a non-RM who graduated from BSU and teaches high school history. From a ward with 30 to 40 BYU-I professors in the ward this was a major shocker. For what it's worth this a good guy that will do a very good job.

I think you just coined a new phrase: "the upset calling."

Good luck with your Cinderella Bishop.

This is more shocking to me than having a black man elected President of the U.S.. Next thing you know women will get the Priesthood.

There's a non-RM male in Rexburg? Who knew?

What might be as shocking is by definition there has to be a woman in Rexburg who didn't hold out for a RM to marry. What is the Bishop's wife like. She must have not been very active as a youngster.

He married his high school sweetheart right out of high school. We grew up in the same ward and I can't remember anybody else in that ward not going on a mission. In fact the kid whose Dad owned the bar up at Island Park even went.
