'railed on fans that chewed out a player that came back to his neck of the woods. Other parts of the talk John Dehlin needs to take ahint of we won't change our standards. But mentioned fan comments and really railed on somefans for there behavior. Saying you are always a member don't check your religion at the door.

Pretty sure Elder Jeffrey R. Holland doesn't read Cougarboard. At least I would like to think he doesn't.

And if Elder Holland said, "We won't change our standards" then I would be interested in knowing to which standards/time frame he was referring.

I know one such standard would be "mormons don't boo". I remember as the BYU President he chastized the fans for booing and indicated "we" don't do that. He didn't leave us without an alternative, he suggested when displeased we all "shake our keys".

I kind of like the way they whistle in Europe. Maybe we can bring that to the USA.

Is that where the key shaking came from.

When I was at BYU, President Oaks made a similar speech. For a couple of months at the basketball games, instead of booing the students would chant in unison, "Oh No! Oh No!"
