    Congratulations!
“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”
    ― W.H. Auden

"God made the angels to show His splendour - as He made animals for innocence and plants for their simplicity. But men and women He made to serve Him wittily, in the tangle of their minds."
-- Robert Bolt, A Man for All Seasons

      Congrats!
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

        Congrats Viking.

One of mine's been a service missionary for 22 months - he's never left home though. Just lots of driving for us to and from SLC every day (he doesn't drive). Son number 2 left July 11th and leaves the MTC a week from today. The first two months have flown by for him and us. Hoping the next 22 go just as quickly. Dropping him off at the MTC was one of my happiest/proudest/saddest moments of my life. Same for my wife. Same for my son.

One of his funniest mission experiences - one that will be hard to top from here on out - when we were dropping him off, we got there about 15 minutes before his appointed time, so we pulled into the parking lot across the street to take a few last minute pictures and wait it out.

About a minute after we got there, a bunch of missionaries ran out to the fields for their daily PE time.

        Son: "Huh..."

        Wife: "What?"

        Son: "Huh..."

        Wife: "What's wrong?"

        Son: "Nothing"

        Wife: "What's with the 'huh?'"

Son: "Oh nothing... It's just that they look happy."
