I substitute taught my youngest's early morning (6 am!) seminary class the last two days. I have a new found respect for you who have committed to this calling. The kids were actually great and reasonably well-behaved. The manual wasn't too bad, although I kind of did my own thing, but having to do it all at six in the morning? Not good. So chapeaux to all who do it regularly.
        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

6am is nothing. We have one class that starts at 5:30am

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

They started this on-line seminary around here and in NYC. Most of the kids stopped going and it was down to only about a half dozen kids because it was too much of a pain to get kids across town, in bad traffic, to meet. Now the kids just do kind of an home study thing on-line and then meet (face-to-face) for a couple of hours or so per week. They also Skype now and then. I wished they had this when I was in high school.
