Books by Current Apostles

Grape's recent post got me thinking about the prolific writing of our Church leaders. They are constantly writing talks, speaches, articles, pamphlets, and more. It seems that there is always a new book or two by an apostle shown prominently at Deseret Book. So I decided to do a little research on the topic.

Below is the number and name of the books written by current apostles (I tried to eliminate booklets). I was a little surprised to see the number dominated by a handful of apostles. I thought that Scott and Bednar would have more books. Interesting information for what it is worth.

I don't think the book titles really have colons in most if not all instances. The books have subtitles to help sales, and colons aid in rendering the title on a page in a way that is not confusing.

Does anyone know if they give the income from these books to the Church?

They are former good lawyers, and thus are independently wealthy. They don't need to sell any books to supplement their lost income

It looks very similar to the Finderson-invented style of thread titling threads that reference articles: "Name of Journal": "Title of article"

But I wasn't consulted.

I figured I would be the first one to do THIS, since I kind of have it coming.

I have a feeling that the linked post is going to haunt me, but at least I can take credit for pointing this fact out.

Thanks for posting that Sully. Sadly I've only read a few of those.
