      Dear President Packer,

I think they're on to me. What should I do?

      Regards to Sister Packer,

        Really? In what way?

Sort of like how Topper is on team BYU. I'm sure if we were a top 25 church Sooner's wife would let him attend every week.

Or maybe that is how he and Jeffrey get their Mormon news...

Apostles Using Twitter to Share Gospel, Communicate With the World

The Church has maintained official Facebook and Google+ pages on the behalf of Church leaders for some time now. Some senior Church leaders will now be using those channels and Twitter to personally share their words, thoughts and teachings.

Two apostles, Elder M. Russell Ballard and Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, began using Twitter within the last week, and other Church leaders will also be using Twitter in the near future. Elder Ballard’s tweet came after an address he gave to Latter-day Saint young adults around the world on 4 May.

Elder Holland’s tweet and photo were posted following remarks he made to Mormon missionaries at the Church’s Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah, on 6 May.

This is just another step Church leaders are taking to use social media to share the gospel and communicate with the world.

Is it bad to tweet at apostles? I'm attempting to start an exchange with Elder Holland:

Jeffrey R. Holland: Being with missionaries is the greatest. Tonight it was the MTC in Provo, with all international MTCs listening in. pic.twitter.com/Iq7JRMhB8Q

@J_R_Holland I once sat in the MTC audience across from an apostle as missionaries exclaimed: "That man has met Jesus Christ!" #perspective

(I was nervous about tweeting to him, but my wife assured me that Mormonism is different from scientology and would not retaliate.)

It is safe. They don't read the tweets or send any out. If anything you are risking offending the people that are in charge of maintaining the accounts.

Got it. I hope they hired people lacking the discipline not to engage people.
