    Who is going to this march on Washington for secularists? Woot, Dan, YOhio, any secularists within a 200 mile radius of DC has no excuse not to go. Sooner, you're not so far away.

    A RR representative on NPR today said secularism as a "belief system" is growing faster than any religion in history, and within two decades religion in the US will be essentially extinct as it is in Europe and Canada now.

      That's a pretty good lineup, but my interest in this type of thing is pretty close to zero. Dawkins is one of the greatest ever in terms of explaining complex scientific concepts in an understandable way, so I'm still a little sad that most of his appearances now deal with atheism instead. Not that this is an unworthy cause -- he had an influence on my deconversion -- it's just not something that I tend to find very satisfying personally.

      I think the thoughts of the RR guy on NPR are extremely optimistic, but it does seem like religion is finally beginning to fade in the US.

              Good. I'm glad it will be dead. Because then Jesus can come.
