YIKES! Did we really listen to this nonsense??!!

Girls - all I really want is girls
And in the morning it's girls
Cause in the evening it's girls

I like the way that they walk
And it's chill to hear them talk
And I can always make them smile
From White Castle to the Nile

    Back in the day
There was this girl around the way
    She liked by home-piece M.C.A.
He said he would not give her play
I asked him, "Please?" - he said, "You may."
Her pants were tight and that's ok
If she would dance - I would D.J.
We took a walk down to the bay

I hope she'll say, "Hey me and you should hit the hay!"
I asked her out - she said, "No way!"
I should have probably guessed her gay
So I broke North with no delay
I heard she moved real far away
That was two years ago this May
I seen her just the other day
Jockin' Mike D. to my dismay

Girls - to do the dishes
Girls - to clean up my room
Girls - to do the laundry
Girls - and in the bathroom
Girls - that's all I really want is girls
Two at a time - I want girls
With new wave hairdos - I want girls
I ought to whip out my - girls, girls, girls, girls, girls!

"Song for the Man" on Hello Nasty, in my opinion, shows that the Beastie Boys grew up too.

I know what you're trying to do here, and I don't appreciate it.

I love Villa Park. We looked at a house there but decided to stay put at our original place. The houses there are very cool.

No, the women would be running everything. Also, the priesthood lessons would be much better prepared assuming that the female leadership wouldn't put up with the half-*ss prep that the male instructors do.

The BSA has been admitting girls for some time (starting at age 14) in the Venture Crew program. The LDS version of scouting would be closer to what everyone else does.

What about leadership? Would there be designated callings by gender at all (in order to keep equal gender representation in leadership) or how would that work? would there be a designated male counselor and female councelor in lay auxilary presidencies, or would it be left to the spirit to guide? Would there be a mandatory 6 minimum Male Apostle? Most assuredly we would have more women Church Presidents than men because of the life span indiscrepancy between the genders. What would happen when gender-combined lay-ministry presidencies results in an increase in marital infidelity?
I think the women would all become HP's and we would be stuck in EQ forever moving people in and out of the ward.

Kudos to women that seem to thrive in mormonism, my mother and at least one of my sisters, for example. My mother especially is a very strong and highly educated woman. However, I have seen the other side of what these teachings can do to girls and young women and I want far more for my daughters.

I'm with SU on this one. It truly is time for equality among the sexes and I don't say that sarcastically. I think the day is coming when women will represent a fair portion of management in companies and even in church leadership (not the LDS church....but who knows?).

I also think the day is coming that women will have the same chance to be drafted into wars and forced to fight on the front lines. Thankfully the recent change in practice allows some women to be closer to the front lines, but there is still a misogynistic tendency that prohibits their full participation in combat and that is wrong.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I have heard from good sources that setting up chairs and helping with parking at stake conference are two of the main sticking points on this issue...

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Do you think it is possible that God thinks that genders have roles?

I just think it is possible we dont see everything and that there is a lot we dont know.

FIFY. Gender refers to the social constructed identities associated with masculinity and femininity. Sex refers to what you have between the legs. Lots of people confuse the two, and it hardly matters in most situations, but we may as well be smart about it.

Sure. What role do you think God has for hermaphrodites?
