Yesterday was a gold mine. First, someone (can't remember) implied that his residence in Michigan afforded him the insight to criticize the Romneys' private personae. Second, viking telling us that his mother's money can be traced to venereal disease.Originally posted by DU Ute View PostWhy does that make your opinion any more valid? Good thing that temple covenant about exacting revenge on the U.S. government for the death of Joseph Smith isn't around anymore. He would've painted himself into a corner on that one!Originally posted by YOhio View PostNo. Mitt has said his tithing is fair game.
"Hopefully, as people look at various individuals running for president, they'd be pleased with someone who made a promise to God and kept that promise. So, if I had given less than 10 percent, then I think people would have had to look at me and say, hey, what's wrong with you, fella, don't you follow through on the promises?""What are you prepared to do?" - Jimmy Malone

Seeing how Missouri is a swing state, it's also a good thing that Romney can campaign with relatively little fear of being exterminated.Originally posted by Joe Public View PostGood thing that temple covenant about exacting revenge on the U.S. government for the death of Joseph Smith isn't around anymore. FYI, you can pay directly to church HQ and avoid this problem.Originally posted by Surfah View PostYeah for a group (speaking generally) that hates that their financial clerk can infer their salary or hates giving an accounting (yes/no) to the Bishop at the end of the year I find it weird that we're scrutinizing another member's tithing contributions.Have we been commanded not to call a prophet an insular racist? I have met Mitt. Have you met Mitt? My grandmother was his dad's first cousin, and they were the same age and grew up playing together in Colonia Juarez. They wrote hand-written notes all the time, but my grandma has been dead for awhile.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostSooner, until the Romney's write hand-written notes to your grandparents every 2-3 months, your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's.That which may be asserted without evidence may be dismissed without evidence. -C.
