SIEQ's thread starter about the attack on him in EQ meeting got me thingking about his.

Here is mine: Once while playing ward ball someone stole my street clothes including my coat out of the changing room. Man was I furious. I never found them. Went home in the middle of winter in basketball trunks and shirt and jockstrap. I can honestly say that was the worst.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Didja have to mention the jockstrap? And if you were going to be so detailed, what about socks and shoes?

lol. I don't know what I find least believable...that there was a "changing room" in an LDS chapel, that you were playing sports, or that someone wanted your clothes.

I once stole some clothes from a changing room in a chapel (that's not the worst part) and I ended up finding a jock strap in the bundle of clothes (that's the worst part).
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

How about the time my ex confessed an 18 month affair and she got off lighter (probation) than I did for viewing porn/masturbation (disfellowshipped)?

That was a pretty bad experience.

You confessed to viewing porn and masturbating?

Yeah. I was tired of the guilt wearing me down. The "little factory" talk by BKP did a number on me right up until I left.

Probation from an affair? That would normally be grounds for excommunication, would it not? Unless it was a Facebook affair...

I am starting to think that atheistcougar is a fake. A cleverly designed caricature of the bitter ex-mo stereotype.

Whoever made this character up: bravo.

Well, her sister was getting married in the temple in 6 months, and she expressed a desire to attend. So the bishop made sure that she could make it. She did...

It wasn't the same bishop that doled out the disfellowshipment for me, but I walked out of the disciplinary council shaken pretty badly. Rightfully so, too. My dad, who was SP at the time was furious and I believe fired off some letters to SLC. Nothing ever came of it though... Anyway, I remained a faithful member for another 5-6 years...but it was never quite the same.

There was a changing room niche that was an appendage of the biggest boys bathroom. A single bench and some hooks for hanging your clothes in a narrow neck of room.

This was a very strange and unique LDS church that was built in the sixties and was A-framed shape with a kind of Seattle world's fair look with lots of pastel colors like teal and peach. Located about 12th East and 7600 South. Some of you may have seen it before.

I even went out in the dumpster and dug around looking for them shivering and cursing. It was a terrible experience.

No one spoke to me about this afterward.
