Dude, I was a ZL for 14 months! Cosmic forces again at work.

Wow! I've got something else to tell you on that score. My wife was proudly showing me that after round 1 she was no. 1 in the office pool. She said she did her own research and made her own bracket. I looked at the bracket and had to break it to her gently that Dayton in the Elite 8 was probably a mistake unless her research gave her some kind of insight that eluded the entire world, and this would cost her in the long run. But I thought of you and felt this was a sign of some kind.

NO. I was very polite and supportive. She became concened that it was a typo. I told her I had a feeling that she had tapped into something truly revelatory, like Augustine described can happen to a chosen few.

Granted my mission was 30 years ago, but I think the main reason we tracked was to keep us busy. On the calling home, I was never able to call home.

Hey SU, that sounds a bit like me. I was a ZL for about half my mission. I have no idea why I wasn't an AP, but I remember being worried about it for a bit, because I was never a baptizer, so I looked for some affirmation of my missionary worth through leadership callings. It seems so strange how much some things mattered at one point in life.
