Wrong. Progressive Mos are cool, welcoming, big tent people. Where does a moran like Tex spend all his time? At places like CG and CUF, which are populated by vocal progressives. Why doesn't he spend his time at more conservative, hard line blogs and message boards? Because those types wouldn't have Tex.

His most recent opposition to T-Mo's talk is a good example. A traditional conservative message board would have run Tex out on a rail for contradicting the Prophet in that manner. It would have been a Lord of the Flies moment. Very ugly.

Didn't you used to be funny?

Anyway, I didn't think the story needed comment. I remember hearing it, actually. You were probably bored while he told it. Or maybe you were surfing, who knows. I'm sure in 6 months you'll remind us again!
Have we been commanded not to call a prophet an insular racist? Link?

he doesn't spend much time at here or cg. He wouldn't have to establish his bona fides at FAIR. I now who's the real mormon, who is more like the Mormons who raised me. Tha's all I'll say.

No. I explained my comment plainly to you. I'm not going to do it again.

He's the laughing assassin, but he's traded his L115A3 for a meat ax. People have commented that he's become very rude and obnoxious lately. Someone said he must be acting out feelings of impotency in other aspects of his life. It sounds like a reasonable explanation.

I'll admit to being more sure. But not the others.

In the New Testament the Apostles came to Christ complaining about a man casting out devils in Christs name. Christ's response was:

“Do not stop him,”..."for whoever is not against us is for us. I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward."

                  http://niv.scripturetext.com/mark/9.htm verse 39

From a talk by Elder Packer

"During the Vietnam War, we held a series of special meetings for members of the Church called into military service. After such a meeting in Chicago, I was standing next to President Harold B. Lee when a fine young Latter-day Saint told President Lee that he was on leave to visit his home and then had orders to Vietnam. He asked President Lee to give him a blessing.
Much to my surprise, President Lee said, “Your father should give you the blessing.”
Very disappointed, the boy said, “My father wouldn’t know how to give a blessing.”
President Lee answered, “Go home, my boy, and tell your father that you are going away to war and want to receive a father’s blessing from him. If he does not know how, tell him that you will sit on a chair. He can stand behind you and put his hands on your head and say whatever comes.”
This young soldier went away sorrowing.
About two years later I met him again. I do not recall where. He reminded me of that experience and said, “I did as I was told to do. I explained to my father that I would sit on the chair and that he should put his hands on my head. The power of the priesthood filled both of us. That was a strength and protection in those perilous months of battle.”

I would love to see Jesus and Tex duke it out on a message board.
