  • Were will the new temples be?

They come as complete surprises usually. Meridian Idaho why there? The lord chose it. Some people wait for for many many years. Heard of prophecies of temples to be built in obscure places of population. Prophecies produce weeds.

In another thread that will be buried I put my guesses up. Pocatello and Puerto Rico, South New Zealand Island, Nairobi Kenya and somewere in Latin America. Could be 0 for 5 if five or announced. Here is an interesting talk that Hal gave when as member of PB it was his job to tell FP were new temples should be built or should they wait. He was the first to suggest and last to know were they would be.

        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

With the Big 12 on the horizon I expect Iowa and Kansas to get one.

Pocatello is a godless area, I can't see this happening.

I wonder if they will formally announce it or wait until they have approval to actually build the thing. I do hope it happens soon so I have an excuse to visit again.

My prediction is that the church is buying a cruise liner and retrofitting it to be a temple that can sail to obscure places in the world.

Assuming you mean VA here. It would be interesting. Once Philly is up and running DC will close for about a year and a half, and Philly would be the closest temple. I wonder if they'd put one that close (not close, but relatively speaking it is).

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I think Wyoming is temple free, maybe they could put one in Rock Springs or Sheridan for Landpoke.

I actually brought this up in a Elder's quorum meeting. But my suggestion was a 747. Instead of people having to sacrifice for years to get to a temple, why not just bring the temple to them? Seems like a very cheap alternative to help those members in obscure locales.

I don't think the heavenly people of Kaysville and Fruitheights would be too happy about their continually unrighteous neighbor getting a temple.

The lyrics aren't all that striking, but it's still one of my favorite VH tunes.
